FAQs

Can I enter on the day?

No, entrants must register in advance on the website.

I've entered the event, when and where can I collect my suit?

Information about venue, location, times, suit collection, entry fee, route and footwear, parking, and event rules can be found on the Fun Run Information page.

What documentation do I need to show to collect my Santa suit and can I collect suits for other entrants?

When arriving at the venue, please park where directed and proceed to the barn. Here you will be informed where to show your registration (either in print or on your mobile phone) and pick up your suit, plus any other relevant information.

To pick up suits for other entrants, please also show proof of their registration(s).

Do I get to keep the Santa suit?

Yes, it's all yours to wear over the festive season (and beyond!). If you wish you can place it in the bin provided for re-cycling.

I already have an entry, can I make additional entries for other people?

Yes! Simply go to the Registration page and go through the normal process to register. You will be sent a confirmation email once you have registered them.

Are wheelchair entrants welcome?

Yes of course! However, depending on the weather conditions on the day care needs to be taken on sections of the route.

Can I run with my dog?

Yes you can! As long as they are on a short lead and you start near the back. All well-behaved dogs are welcome! Christmas doggy outfits are positively encouraged!

Can children join in?

Of course! As long as they are accompanied by an adult! The event is for everyone of all ages and abilities (you do not need to be a Mo Farrah to join).  Babies in buggies, toddlers, teenagers - all are welcome!

We have made it as cheap as possible for families to enter by including 1 adult and up to four children (under age 14) in our family ticket.

What happens if I lose a child during the event?

In the event of a child being lost please report immediately to the main barn – look for the sign “lost children”.

If I can't attend, can I request a refund?

Unfortunately not. As this is a charity event and substantial costs have already been incurred prior to the event we are unable to offer any refunds. Thank you for your understanding.

Do I need to wear running shoes or trainers?

The choice is entirely up to you dependent on the weather conditions and the state of the route - the short course is mainly grass whilst the long course is mainly along droves but does include a grass section as well. Just wear appropriate shoes for the conditions. Further information about footwear and the running route can be found on the Fun Run Information page.

Is it okay if I walk or jog instead of running?

All fitness levels are welcome. We will stagger the start according to preferred speed. You can run, jog, plod, walk – it’s a fun event and we want you to enjoy the festive ambiance.

How many laps do I have to do?

You are free to do as many laps of the 1km course as you wish up to a maximum of 3 laps; and up to  four laps of the long course

Will I receive a medal?

You sure will!  As long as you complete the course!!

Will there be refreshments?

Yes. All participants receive a free mince pie and a drink. We are aiming to have a burger stall and perhaps other food to purchase.
